What have you been doing today?

Dubrovnik today. Had a walk around in the walled city. Very nice but didn’t want to walk the wall - not at €40 a person I didn’t! Again, very, very hot so back to the ship for a bit of A/C. Apparently, Game of thrones was filmed here. Shops are full of GOT tat. Corfu next.

Walked around Corfu old town today. I tell you what, I’m getting fed up of this bloody heat. It’s just too much to take. Melting. Seen it all now though - we came back to the ship and had a snack in with the plebs in the buffet and I’m not kidding, but we watched a lady give her teeth a proper good flossing with dental floss at the table. None of her friends batted an eyelid and just carried on eating as normal so I assume they are used to it. Disgusting behaviour. I wasn't surprised to hear the accent when we walked past on the way out. Northerners!

No but the barstewards picked the pocket of my mobile and sucked up a fiver when I must have picked up their mobile service as we went past and I started receiving WhatsApp messages as we went past! Luckily I had my phone only set to a fiver max limit if I used anything not included in my inclusive data. Morocco did the same on our cruise earlier in the year.

Was going to go there on a day trip. Looks great
 
Taranto today and we took an excursion to some whitewashed village somewhere inland, Ostuni. I’ll tell you why it’s whitewashed, cos it’s fùcking hot hot hot, that’s why! Just glad to get back on the air conditioned ship. This has been the hottest holiday I’ve been on - maybe it’s an age thing but I can’t stand the heat anymore. Another gala black tie night tonight so the dinner suit will get another outing (I do look good in it ;)), a sea day tomorrow and then back to Malta for our flight home on Thursday. Looking on my home CCTV cameras I can see it’s been raining all day back home and I’m bloody jealous!
