    Tap Bonnet Stuck - Replace?

Tried with a cloth previously to no avail. Tried without too as the plan was to replace with a tap reviver kit. Tried boiling water WD40 and cleaning products. It seems completely stuck. No joy with a spanner at the flats too.

Is it easy to pull them back down? Does it have to be a specific kind of nail? Thanks!

Slipped Tile - Usually an Easy Fix or Not?

Hi all I've noticed a slipped tile on my roof which can be accessed from an adjacent flat roof. It looks like a nail has come out and it has slipped? Is it a case of pushing up the above tile, moving the slipped tile into place an putting another nail in or is it likely to be tricky...

    Tap Bonnet Stuck - Replace?

https://photos.app.goo.gl/NKWZrMysh958xqL39 - here are a few. I don't think there's much chance of getting the tap bonnet off but wondered it I could perhaps break it off and use a tap reviver kit such as this one? https://www.screwfix.com/p/swirl-bathroom-basin-tap-reviver-kit/32730

    Tap Bonnet Stuck - Replace?

Hi I've got a dripping tap that I've tried to change the washer on. I've had grips and spanners on it but the tap bonnet will not turn to remove. It's a victorian-style monobloc type with the plug attachment. I can get a similar style one for around £90 ... or I could try other methods such...

Is it worthwhile getting the plasterboard off for it? Not too sure how thick but I'd guess around 170mm but it does look a little battered in places?

    Kitchen Extension Extension?

Hi all Our kitchen had been extended before we bought the house but we're now considering making it bigger to incorporate the adjacent conservatory. However, the conservatory sliding doors provide light to the living room behind. This could potentially leave the living room windowless. I...

How Much of an Impact Will Insulation Have?

Hi all I've lived in my 1960s dorma (two floors) for two years and it is very poor at retaining heat. Not a huge problem for me as I put a fleece on when cold but the other half has had enough of it. It is poorly insulated and we're thinking of starting a family in a couple of years so I'm...

Keeping plants for the first time (advice for geraniums, mini rose, dianthus and tomatoes).

I received the above plants yesterday and wondered if anyone could share some advice on how to care for them. Some of the websites I've looked at are quite convoluted and I've found it difficult to get the information I need. I wonderend if anyone could advise on: If to transfer to a larger...

    Leaky Tub Drain?

Hi all My tub drain has a small leak where the seal looks to have failed. I wondered how complex these types of thing are to remedy and what would be needed/involved? If necessary ill leave as is and get a plumber out. What would be a ballpark fair price if there is such a thing? I thought...
