    Guttering Line

Well appreciate that Nigel and Woody understood the question but you've both given different answers so not sure what to do really.

    Guttering Line

Hello All I have what might be a boring technical question to some or a daft question to others but to me I just can't understand what to do. 1/ Where to tie the string line on the bracket? At the bottom where it cradles the gutter itself? 2/ Once the line is in place how to fix new brackets...

How long to leave water in bath when sealing?

Is it just when you apply the seal or should you ideally leave it a few hours or overnight?

While I'm on a roll.... Gap between wall and cabinets

With the questions - not the kitchen and thanks so much for previous v helpful replies..... I've now got another problem. The wall cabinets are lined up so that the middle cabinet hosts the extractor above the hob - I can't move all that. But the planners (me - whoops!) have left a slither of a...

Kitchen wall cabinet Cornice close to ceiling

Hello All Just wondering how I'm going to fix this as I won't be able to get a drill above the wall cabinets to screw down. Then I thought about just sticking it on as its out of reach and is supported underneath anyway. Maybe even using silicone so it can be removed easily. Would that be a...

    Kitchen base cabinet legs

Hello All Does anyone know (or think it likely/unlikely) that these legs come with everything required to fix to any carcass or do you think they only attach to Wickes base units? Says fixings included but could still be only to a wickes carcass...

Kitchen plinth. To scribe or not...

given my scribing skills aren't fantastic. I have a tracksaw maybe I should try it. I'm a bit nervous though. Under the highest part of the floor there is around a 1-2mm gap just enough to get the plinth under. That then runs down to about 12-13mm under the lowest part of the floor. Question...

    120mm ducting for cooker hood

This thread is as relevant now as it was then. ALso looking at a hood with 120mm outlet port. TLC seem to be the only place to sell 120mm pipe but they also call it "5 inch" which is more like 125mm and wouldn't fit. A lot of hoods have 120mm ports. What do you do ?

    Taping a weeping joint

I am not a plumber. If it was me and assuming the pressure is only a few metres of head from a cold cistern I would definitely be using the SA tape and a bit of compound such as lsx just to tide you through until we get past the covid situation. If this is a feed under much higher pressure such...

    Prep after removing floor tiles

Hello All Kitchen floor files firmly stuck to concrete floor. Planning to remove with my sds drill and a fair bit of sweat and tears. Question is once they've gone I'm thinking I'd be left with a fairly rough surface and old tile adhesive residue. Can I lay my new tiles straight on to that...

Honeywell Galaxy 2 Alarm/MK7 Keypad - won't unset with code

I know the thread is old but one of the only reference on t'net I could find. In case you make the same mistake I did, or maybe its just my version of g2 works slightly differently, I had to first go to menu item 51 (parameters) and then to 55 (DD243) and then 3 (restrict keypad) and then 0 for No.

    Taking over from ADT

Managed to take a pic of the box below. It does seem to contain the GSM components. If I really can't use it, anyone know how to cleanly remove it? Just disconnect all cables going from it to the main panel above?

    Taking over from ADT

Something like this? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honeywell-Galaxy-Flex-50-Full-Metal-Boxed-Alarm-Control-Panel-Ref-16-10-18-/174324107383?_trksid=p2385738.m4383.l4275.c10 Seems a bit like overkill and would need to configure it from scratch. Plus I don't know what it would give me ? I like the...

    Taking over from ADT

Thanks a lot for that. I'm seriously considering buying (is it the LCE-01-4) I need (plus the £1 a month unless it gets increased )? Also, do you know how to enable the dualcom (it uses mobile phone tech) to send me SMSs which I could use in parallel ? There is a transmitter in the loft. Maybe...

Yep - that's what ADT installed.... Just don't tell me they can be easily jammed :D

    Taking over from ADT

Says Galaxy 2-12 v 1.50 There is an ethernet port already on the board - that no good? The other box is wired to the main box. I'll try and get a pic if I can. I was led to believe it houses the stuff for the dualcom - i.e. a mechanism to get the signal out if the phone line is cut.

    Taking over from ADT

Honeywell Galaxy G2 of some kind. So with the kind help of a well known member of this forum, I have managed to reset my engineer code so in theory can manage the system myself without paying ADT £60 per month. I will lose the police response and I'm aware of that. Anyway, what now. I have two...

Brand new Beko dishwasher not starting

In case anyone else reads this and wants a more helpful answer I think the issue is simply that when an integrated dishwasher door is closed, the buttons are not normally accessible and so don't need to be active. The instructions don't say they are not active with the door closed so I don't...

Brand new Beko dishwasher not starting

Well I've just done some more tests and not sure what to think. Its an integrated dishwasher with soft buttons at the top. I've now realised that if I open the dishwasher door, the buttons work fine! SO it wasn't turning off after all just it was that the buttons including on/off were...

Brand new Beko dishwasher not starting

Hello All Maybe this is a stupid question - hopefully I'll find out ! So have an integrated DIN15R11 and I just powered it on without water or drainage connected. I just wanted to see if it would basically start and maybe complain about no water to give me confidence there is no issue before...
