    Which adhesive??

Thanks all. I found a shop 10 miles away that sells BAL. I got a bag for £44. I am tiling 6 square meters and BAL says it will do up to 6 square meters so if I run out I'm not paying another £44 just for a few cuts. I will get the granfix and see what I think of it. Its just over £20 a bag...

    Which adhesive??

I have nowhere near me that sells Bal rapidfix flexi. To order 1 20kg bag from Trades-Direct will cost me £50 with VAT and delivery. My local tiling store sells a Granfix rapid setting flexible adhesive for porcelin tiles for £21 for a 20kg bag. Anyone used this or would advise against it...

    Which adhesive??

Hello, I am going to lay 400mm by 400mm ceramic tiles over some vinyl tiles in my kitchen. Half of the vinyl tiles have been painted with that black tar like adhesive as there was some more flooring glued to the top. All the tiles are sound. I was thinking of using a BAL flexible adhesive...

    Blowing noise in Focus Diesel.

My Ford Focus TDCI 2005 that I have had from new started making a funny noise yesterday. When I put my foot down to accelerate in any gear I can hear the sound of air blowing from the dashboard area? Its not the blowers or aircon. I turned them off. It sounds like a pressure leak or...

    DIY kitchen fit

Thanks for that. I am fitting the cabinet next to the washing machine at the moment. How much larger than the machine would you leave the gap? I was thinking 10mm max to give 5mm either side of the machine!

They could be I suppose! How do you secure the machine to the units either side? or does it just slide in? Wont it vibrate out of position?

    DIY kitchen fit

I am having a go at fitting my own kitchen. I am about to fit a built in Washing machine. Am I right in thinking that I just leave a 600mm gap between 2 units for the washing machine to slot in? And the door attaches to the washing machine! The fitted washing machine comes with these...

    Kitchen end panels and tiling?

I am fitting a kitchen and will tile the floor afterwards before putting the plinths on. I can see a problem approaching and wonder what others have done in the past. The end panels on the kitchen come out further than the plinths and go down to the floor. So how do you tile around or...
