When i take these tiles up how level would the floor have to be.An extension to the kitchen was built. The builders screeded the floor and put leveling compound over the top.Although the floor doesn't seem that level to me +/-6mm in places.
where is the cutoff point where i can no longer use...
I live in a house that is about 40 years old and am thinking about laying ceramic tiles in the Kitchen. On preparation i removed our lino floor covering.Underneath were vinyl floor tiles stuck firmly to the original flooring which are again thin tiles but i am not sure what they are only that...
Never mind.I think the best thing for me is to mount a socket in a unit somewhere and connect the dishwasher to that.I will still keep the fused switch or should i change to a normal one.If i change to a normal switch what type am i looking for.It can't be a normal light switch.
I have got some...
Sorry i did not explain clearly.Yes i have a fused switch above worktop level which is connected to a connection unit below the worktop. The results the same in that i can't chop the plug of without voiding my warrenty.I thought it a good idea in that to change the fuse you don't have to pull the...
When i recieve my new fully integrated dishwasher the first thing i will do is chop of the plug and wire it into a FCU.Will this effect my warrenty.I'm sure its done all the time.
Just recieved a neff gas hob and extractor. Why does the extractor have a moulded plug yet the gas hob doesn,t.I assumed the Gas hob (The igniter bit that is) was plugged into a normal 13amp socket.I may be wrong though.

After reading this you lot have got me quite worried.I am also fitting a kitchen and have got to the stage where i am fitting the units.I am fitting the same setup as AdamW.(Electric cooker and Gas Hob).
All i have got is a Bayonet fixing sticking out the wall. Will the plumber just
tee off...
I'm doing a little bit of plumbing work for a new kitchen but a little unsure about something. At the moment my water pipes to my sink are galvanized steel (most of it is).Now i want to re-route my water and fit copper pipe to the steel. My cold water pipe has this done to it already by a...
I know there has been something similar 2 weeks ago but wanted to know about my particular situation
I want to know the cost of fitting some kitchen worktops.I have 3 worktops to fit.I have 2 worktop lengths of 4 metres. One is a 640mm breakfast worktop. The breakfast worktop is to be cut...
See what you mean.I think i have answered my own question.I know it is a pain but if i drain down the system. Then undo the compression fittings on the pipes and lift the rad with the valves still connected to it of the hangers. :D
I tried to remove a radiator ready for painting the walls in my extension i had built. The rad pipes come out of the screeded floor and protrude about 4 inches.I've drained the rad and undone the nuts at either end but the only way to get the rad off is to bend the copper pipes.I tried to bend...
Thanks for that. The thing is the instructions says use round head screws that are suitable.I like how they say suitable. So if it fell off the wall they can say they were not suitable screws. What a getout.Anyway where can you get this length of screw from.I've only seen them go upto 2 1/2" ones...
Hello
i'm fixing some wall kitchen cabinets to a wall.Any ideas what size screws to use to fix the brackets. The misses put all sorts of heavy stuff in these cabinets.ie Tinned food.
I'm using 2 1/2" x 10g wood screws at the moment screwed into masonary using nylon pugs .Are they ok
Funny that but my house has no earth wire too.My house was built in the sixties. The ring main has earth but the lights don't.So i'm sure this is common for a house that age.
I went down to my local lighting shop and told them. The bloke said you shouldn't attach metal light fittings for obvious...
