oh dear I am in a state, ive been hours trying to hack of old adhesive, so can i just tile straight onto the rendering its pretty sound apart from a few divots if i can will i need to put on some kind of bonding agent beore tiling boarding aint really practical cheers P M

will i finish this job in the 2 weeks holiday :shock: if i cement board will i need to tank ? i bought the house from new 14 years ago, how would i know if the pro tiler did tank it ? if he didnt, then it hasnt done any harm !

hi Matty, funny that i was looking at the merlin 760mm last night is that what you bought ? if so, i see the top sides are 60mm wide so you would lose 5+ mm around it does it look ok cheers P M

hi helpers, does anyone know where i can buy a 750mm square white shower tray. ive trawled the net without success if i cant find one, shall i buy a 760mm ( readlily available ) and then dig out the wall on the 3 sides and slot it in? then re tile which i am planning to do thanks P M

Richard C, its hard to motivate myself re projects esp now ive passed 60 ! but ive done most things over the years apart from roofing ! I think its chipboard, its soft but like I said I tiled bathroom floor with same flooring using flexible adhesive ok ill use the bonding as a precaution...

Thanks for reply.. I think no 1 should read " pay a tiler to do it " :D anyway yeh not sure if cubicle walls are brick so may tank cant remember what paint it is so might just scrape/score the walls the floor are timber squares, same as the bathroom which i tiled couple ofyears ago...
