    Flat to pitched quote

Had a couple of quotes for converting my leaking flat roof over my 3rd bedroom extension on my 1930's semi. The size of the roof is 15m square and quotes came in at £2500 and £3000 which I thought was reasonable. The second more expensive quote included plastic soffits and facias and I think he...

    Which shower trap !!

Thanks Tickly T I did think of what you have suggested but don't think there will be enough margin for error.

    Which shower trap !!

Thanks for reply seco. I know but if you look at the design of the trap the hole I think will be quite large once its raised up on the bed of mortar. I suppose its unlikely anyone will be jumping up and down in this area so probabally nothing to worry about.

    Which shower trap !!

Installing a stone resin shower tray to 25mm wpb and wish to use one of these http://www.hansgrohe.co.uk/uk_en/65957_32313634315F32355F3632333631.htm My concern is the size of the hole I will need to cut in the wpb to accommodate the trap as the trays area over the hole will be unsupported and...

    Replacing conservatory

At sometime in the not too far distant future I plan to replace the crappy conservatory at the back of my semi with a bigger structure. Tap connector

Not fitted permantly at the moment, I've fitted a joist at the shower head height and grafted in a piece of aluminium for strength then I mocked up the thickness of plasterboard and tiles using a piece of wood. The outside of the stud wall will not be plasterboarded until the inside is finished...

    Tap connector

Anyone know who sells 22mm x 1/2" bsp bent tap connectors, it's for fitting a rainfall shower head and the manual says to use 22mm pipe where possible. I could reduce down to 15mm and use a 15mm bent tap connector but thought this would cause a restriction and reduce the flow.

    Rainfall shower head height

I was only joking about the snowfall. How much the water would cool would depend on the distance it fell and the air temperature of the room, I wouldn't worry about it. Yeah I know, but I read something else that mentioned that so thought there may be something in it.

    Best tool for cutting travertine!

I have a flat bed diamond wheel cutter that does an ok job but tends to leave small chips out of the face of the tile. Do the Rexon radial cutters I've seen on ebay leave a cleaner cut or is there a better tool out there.

    Which Plasterboard.

Starting bathroom refit shortly which will involve stripping off old tiles/plaster etc right down to the brickwork and removing the ceiling. I plan to use plaster board and tank the shower enclosure and around the bath. Should I use the vapour check plasterboard or will the standard type be ok...
