    I am about to replace an ordinary bathroom radiator with a towel radiator. My question is I have to wrap ptfe around the thread of the radiator tap valve and then tighten with a 13mm key into the radiator inlet (1/2inch bsp), how do you judge how much ptfe to use to make a good watertight seal?

    I have 7mm thick tiles 20/25 and will have the cut edge around the bathroom window. I have seen in Wickes and B&Q(homelux) 9mm pvc trim which a 7mm tile will fit in the "overhang" ie the cut edge would be hidden, is this the way these trims can/should be used?
