Glueing to ceramic wall tile

In the bathroom I am covering boxing in plumbing pipes with wood and I need to lay wood piece over the pipes and so affix a ledge to the ceramic wall tiles for the wood piece to lay on.
Can I glue a ledge to ceramic wall tile and what sort of glue would do the job ? (as it is it would be very difficult to drill holes in the tiles to fix a ledge with pipes in the way)
