    hi I've got a diy book Collins Complete DIY Manual, p132) that shows how to needle a wall so that a lintel can be added and an opening made. I want to make a high opening in the chimney which is currently bricked up. Can needles be put in and supported from just one side? thank you :)

    hi when i plasterboard and plaster, is it best to attach the plug sockets to the walls then cut andplaster around them, or plaster first (just leaving a small hole with wire coming thought) then cut holes to sink the socket back box back so its flush? what order is this usually done in...

    i put hangin basket up first in the back yard... then i went in shed (brick n breezeblock walls) to put sum shelf brackets up so i can store stuff (roof bars n other long things) high up out of way. maybe i will put shelves up in there tomorrow as well :) cheers. Kat

    ah gud gud... yeah i was in the darkish shed drillin holes. now i think i need to figure out how to use the measure thing on it now - managed to go through to cavity on a few holes coz it went so fast. i put my rather heavy hanging basket up last night and its not fallen down yet :)

    don't think pipes will be in the way there... i don't really fancy trying to shorten the wire and reattach it... wire will go between floor or 1st floor room and ceiling of ground floor room... i thought it shouldn't be a problem? thanx

    thanx for replies :) Cables come from floor so I plan to push the extra length created under the floor boards. Is disconnecting the facia just a case of flip power off then unscrew front, move and rescrew? or does it involve unscrewing wires?

    hi I'm currently completely replastering a bedroom. I have 2 plug sockets that are at waist height and attached on top of the plaster with white plastic casing. I want to bury the cables and set the sockets back in to the wall when i replaster, and am also thinking about moving the sockets...
