Hi, thanks for taking the time to reply. From what i can see on images etc the closeboard still looks like on overlap, and many sites list it like that rather than seperate side by side panels? Ill try and get a different photo.

That would work fine except we only want wooden posts and wooden boards and to do away with / hide any concrete attributes

I know it won't hurt it but it looks rubbish if weeds/plants etc come through the boards, I want to reduce it happening. I've got about 60 fence panels to do so ideally want it as fool proof as possible so I don't have to spend hours tidying it up as much.

quick further question, is the 2 meters inclusive of a gravel board (wooden or concrete) or is 2m the total height for whatever you do? I was planning on having a wooden board, then the fence on top, so may need to restrict the fence height if that is the case? Thanks

Thanks for the input. From the point of view of the neighbour who when they look at their fence will see my fence slightly raised, can they do anything to contest it, or are the laws the laws?
