It's a brick wall. The 40mm accounts for taking the wall back to brick. I thought the dabs would be between 5-10mm thick which would keep me inside the 40mm?

There's one wall I can't batten as the door frame on the adjacent wall is too close. I only have about 40mm for the dabs, plasterboard, adhesive and tiles so it's going to be a tight fit. Cheers Rob
