Gravity type vent covers vs louvre type vent covers

Anyone got a view on which are best? Are there problems with gravity type such as vent not opening enough? Do gravity ones really keep the cold air out or do they fix a problem that doesn't exist? Interested in your views!

Which is noisier - Polycarbonate roof or corrugated plastic?

Hi, I currently want to re-roof my leanto and wanted to be as considerate as possible to the neighbours - so - which would be noisier, a polycarbonate roof or corrugated plastic? If polycarbonate is quieter - is there a difference in noise levels between the sizes? Ta, G

Putting a toaster or kettle under a kitchen cabinet

I'm getting my kitchen done - a small kitchen. That said, I like to keep my toaster and kettle on the worktop. If i put up some wall mounted cabinets, can I still run the toaster and kettle on the worktop underneath? Or does this become a big fire hazard/steam ruining wood situation? cheers

Outside Bathroom Zones but in bathroom - Notifiable?

Hey all, I am thinking of moving my bathroom fan about a metre further along my wall from the shower cubicle. It will all be outside of bathroom zones 1 & 2 (it's to accommodate some built in furniture). My question is - is this notifiable? i.e. is "outside zones" in a bathroom a special...

Hi, any experienced plumbers out there know what the Grohe Feel, Get, Start basin tap range is? Are they just renamed for the UK market? They are sold in screwfix and the sheds but none have been able to tell me any difference from the normal Grohe range. Grohe does not advertise them on...

    Waste to soil pipe connection

Cheers, With regards to the swept tee, right or wrong, I think it was there because the waste coming from left to right in the photo is from a shower waste and there is Also a considerable fall between the tee and the soil pipe connection which presumably might help the high flow drainage...
