can i use the cans of freeze spray?

Had a plumber around today. He couldnt find the outside stopcock either. The pipe is actually 20mm black plastic pipe and is very rigid so dont think it will clamp! The plumber suggested just unscrewing the tap from the wall plate (while still under mains pressure) and fitting a new tap...

Decking is square but fence isn't!!

That's exactly what I was thinking of doing but is there no such thing as a beveled/chamfered board? Alternativly I was thinking of making some long troughs/planters out of some decking boards and using them to hide the gap. With 3 x 3.6m boards I can get a planter/trough which measures...

Decking is square but fence isn't!!

Hi and thanks or the reply. I can't reset all the the deck frame now as its took me 2 days on my own just to get it laid down and level. The frame is made to take a 3.6m deck board (which are already bought) so I can't butt up to the fence. I was hoping for a way to cover the gap with a...

Hi all. I am in the process of laying a decking area of 5.5m x3.6m and have all the joists and framework set out and level. However, after fitting it square with my conservatory I've noticed that my neighbours fence (which the deck is going up against) is not square and it has left a gap of...

    cement particle board

After brushing the brickwork it doesn't look that good. Would I be able to line the inset with Galv steel (same stuff as register plate).I could then simply screw it on,seal edges with silicone and paint with high temp paint and it will not fall off and save expensive tile adhesives,tiles...

    cement particle board

Same fireplace yes The white pipe on the right was the gas inlet for the old gas fire, this has now been totally removed out of the room completely and capped off. The 2 other copper pipes on the left were from an old back boiler which is disconnected and not used. These 2 pipes have been...

    high temp tile adhesive

Cheers guys. Thanks for ya time and help. I've only got 60mm gap around the stove in the inset so this will have to do. I've also got a question in the "building" section if you've got time to check that out.

    high temp tile adhesive

That just states "distance from combustible materials" and not minimum distance around the stove. The inset is brickwork which is obviously non combustible.
