    15 v 22 supply

Well the thing is, the Corgi man did come and said that the Netaheat's design meant he could not get a pressure reading at it. Apparently this old boiler has no 'valve' or something to tap into to read pressure. Is this correct, will we only find out the pressure once the boiler is off the...

    15 v 22 supply

hi I need a new boiler to replace my netaheat somewhere between meter and boiler, the 22 pipe has gone down to 15mm I am told that its not recommended to feed a new boiler from 15 but to change the pipe is going to be hell on the house structure and probably very ugly and expensive with...

    netaheat no main burner lighting

ah well if it is a Mk2 do let me know please and I will get it tried out. Otherwise I am a bit torn between simply getting the boiler replaced -its been a good workhorse but there is an intermittent water leak from inside and I may now be throwing good money after bad chasing these problems...

    netaheat no main burner lighting

Hi well if you don't want the vapour switch I'd be happy to have it and get someone to fit it for me! Thanks. The credit crunch has bitten here too so I dont really want to get a new boiler (I'm looking at around £1400 supply and fit aren't I?) but then the netaheat is probably hideously...

    netaheat no main burner lighting

Hi. May I say at the start I have no intention of carrying out any work myself but I would appreciate a heads up on what this problem may be so that I can evaluate the economic viability of my old boiler. It is a Netaheat 10-16 Mk2 F (yes I know they are regarded as widowmakers but its done...

Getting the zanussi belt on. Grrr.

Wonderful tip and the belt went on first time! Unfortunately it came off as easily. After repeated attempts I have to conclude that the bearings have gone and the drum is not parallel to the motor so that the belt is 'driven' off even under hand turning. This seems to be confirmed by noise...

Getting the zanussi belt on. Grrr.

Well I am stuck. The distance between the belt edge when around the drum and fully extended, toward where it needs to be on the motor spindle is 5 cm. It seems an unbridgeable gap. I know it should be tight and I have done it on other machines by putting it on the spindle first and then...

    Zanussi wash/dryer strange hex screws

ah well the back does not come off, its a continous bit of steel from the front edges all the way around, but i think dropping the belt onto the motor then turning the main drum wheel and easing the belt on under tension might work. hope so. yes your right, might as well destroy the screws...

    Zanussi wash/dryer strange hex screws

hah! Nothing will stop me tampering now bwhahahaha! Altho now I have to somehow get the new drive belt on, once I have got the screws out and the lid off. Thats going to be fun Thanks S

    Zanussi wash/dryer strange hex screws

All that is stopping my fixing the belt on my Zanussi are the peculiar screws holding the lid on. They are standard hex screws except there is a raised point inside the screw that prevents my usual drivers going in. Is this some cunning trick by Zanussi to keep away amateurs or can the driver be...

    No pilot ignition on netaheat

demand > fan runs> pressure ok and gas valve opens with soft clunk> clicky clicky goes spark generator> pilot lights > main gas burners ignite Except the spark generator is not going 'clicky clicky' and so sequence holds at that point PCB or the generator at fault? Relay all fine and is...

    potterton netaheat 1016

Well yes I know, i have carried out a fairly rigorous inspection of the whole case. The steel used in those days was pretty good, not the rizla thickness stuff they use now. By the way, I did mean to say carbon monoxide not dioxide originally. I do know the diference but was typing quickly! S

    potterton netaheat 1016

I shall be fitting a new seal as a matter of course and I am happy that the case edges are not corroded and will make good contact. This is what I did the last time I had the case off, many years ago now. I am happy to have a corgi engineer refit the case and test for leaks but the last one I...

    potterton netaheat 1016

Well Ive had mine for over 20 years, the case is not that hard to refit tight and true. A well ventilated kitchen like ours means that co2 is unlikely to build up to a dangerous level even if, for some reason, it stopped being vented by the fan and then escaped out the case. In fact the day we...

    potterton netaheat 1016

I too have a 10-16 with a non running fan. On power up , the circuit breaker does its but and the fan gets live current but not moving. Given the age of the thing can I assume the fan is dead and needs replacing? Im going to also post this as a new topic
