Hi when tiling around a shower tray is it best to put the first row of tiles straight on to the shower tray? Or put a spacer between the first row of tiles and the tray?

I noticed when I tried to alter one of these and unscrewed the top collar if the spindle is open it leaks water though until I screw the top collar back on is this meant to happen?

the other taps are ok no its run off a combi boiler. Could I just replace the head section of the hot side of the tap. I think there call reviver kits?

is a screw down type mixer tap. A tap head to screw down on both hot and cold side. Don't think will be an air lock as its sealed system, combi boiler. Hasn't been drained down, just started over last couple of weeks,

Hi I have a low level toilet which flushes by pushing a handle down. To make it flush you have to hold the handle down for a few seconds. Any one know what the problem could be here?

is on the first floor so guessing rodents wouldn't be able to get to it but water ingress could be an issue.

hey I have forgot to seal/ cement up around a cored hole for a 1.5inch waste pipe. Would it be worth going back to the job to do this.
