I got an Excellente, the square bar mixer shower and ditched the dogs legs and instead used an ebay fixing kit.
Trouble is, the mixer bar won't go all the way into the threaded part of the kit and this leaves a decent gap around the rubber washer. Needless to say I've spent hours trying to...
Hi
I have an annoying problem. I've grouted the new bathroom and in many areas I've obviously not done something right.
It seems the sponge has taken some grout and left residue on the edges of the tiles.
It's not like the haze, a microfibre doesn't touch it but it's also not...
Hi
We're looking to kill all of our grass and more importantly ivy and brambles. Actually, we're looking to kill everything as the garden is a tip and just needs destroying, it won't ever be planted on again.
Any ideas please?
Thanks :)
Hi
I've got an idea to run the hot and colds up to and isolating valve then onto a equal tee with one feed going off to the tap and the other to the shower. I might need an elbow at the bottom of each shower pipe so it all lines up straight with the tees.
As you can see space is tight so...
Hi
I'm having trouble finding one of these that aren't extremely ugly. It needs to have the valve as the pipes are being boxed in. I know they're bulky but Toolstation sell them with a big black....isolation valve. Cheap but looks terrible.
I've just ripped out the bathroom and have put...
The floorboards run lengthways through the doorway. It leads out onto a landing with stairs then a door about 1m to the right.
Am I going to need extremely thick underlay or is there a door bar c foror this situation? Thanks
Hi
I've tiled a bathroom with 9mm ceramic over 12mm ply plus the adhesive and it's going to carpet in the hall.
Now I'm guessing I'll putting the strip under the existing door but my problem is-
The bathroom floor is over 2cm higher than the floorboards outside of the room (which are...
Hi
Having a nice mare with the bathroom renovation after the bath splitting once it has been tiled in!
Now I'm onto the windows and I did want to tile up to the edges - use an edging strip then tile the reveals.
Problem is that I can see the chips the tile cutter has made and...
Hi
Started tiling and the walls in some areas are really out. I'm guessing that fixing aquapanel at 12.5mm will help as I'm not going to be packing out adhesive to the thickness in the pics.
Too late for replastering as the bath is in and the walls are tanked.
I plan to attach a sheet...
Hi
Where we've knocked two rooms into one we have a deviation along the wall of about 1cm.
I'm going to pack this out as it's too late for a plasterer and I've already SBR primed the wall.
I'll be using Keraflex but I'm wondering how to consistently pack the wall out. I've got a 10mm...
Hi
I've seen these are 2 for £40 in Wickes right now and seem to tick all the boxes for what I need, my only concern is the rapid set.
Would I get away with mixing up a few tiles worth at a time or should I maybe go for Kera Flex Maxi? It's more expensive but there's a longer working time...
Hi
I've used Dow Corning on the windows and found it nice to work with in the past. Never used a sanitary one though.
I'll silicone once when the bath goes in against the walls. (Bath full of water), then I'll silicone again after the bottom row of tiles have gone on.
Any ideas of the...
Hi
I'm putting a new bath in. As you can see in the pic currently we've got a P trap. The position of the new waste is where the tape measure is.
Problem is, I'll be putting down 12mm ply so I've got to ensure some kind of gradient to the main waste.
I was thinking of losing the current...
