Fitting a new bath with existing tiles...advice needed

Hi All, I'm going to be replacing my bath shortly with one which is a different height. This will probably mean the edge of the bath will go above the existing tile line. Am I okay with sealing the bath's edge on to a tile rather than below it? Cheers Daz

    Acrylic bath recommendations wanted

Looking into this a little more seriously now has uncovered brands / types such as Thermocast, Trojancast, Corronite, Armourcast! Their all different pricing but all quite pricey and I don't want to waste money. Can anyone recommend or slate any of them so I can narrow down my list?

    Acrylic bath recommendations wanted

I'd remove the old bath and access is very good. Just wanted to get an idea of what a pro may charge.

    Acrylic bath recommendations wanted

Thanks for that. The baths look good. Would you have an idea what a plumber would charge to fit taps, waste, install and seal it?

    Acrylic bath recommendations wanted

Hi All, I need a new bath and have been told that the reason why there's such a variance in prices is due to the thickness of acrylic used. This makes sense. Can anyone recommend a standard white acrylic bath built to last? Cheers Daz

Caple tumble dryer spare part - pulling my hair out!

Hi All, I have a Caple Tdi 110 integrated tumble dryer. The three arm spider bracket which mounts the bearing to the drum has broken and I've managed to remove it by drilling out the 3 retaining rivets. The problem is I'm unable to locate a replacement spider bracket. Has anyone else had this...

    Potterton Prima F problem

Hi All, Came home last night to a cold house. Perfect after a ride home in the snow! The boiler wasn't running despite me hearing what I believe to be either the fan (replaced two months ago) or the main water pump circulating water. I turned the boiler to zero (off) from the knob and then...

    Replacement window advice needed please

Hi All, Our bathroom window and frame needs replacing. It's a glazed wooden frame window with one fixed and one opening pane. I noticed Wickes sell ready made uPVC windows but before I go any further I would like to ask the advice on how tricky a) the old window will be to remove and b) how...

    Potterton Prima 60F Boiler banging!

I think I've found the problem! For some reason something told me to check the plumber's wiring for the two new zone valves. I opened up the central heating connectors and they were wired correctly but the hot water one wasn't! The grey and orange wires were wired together in one hole! Here's...

    Potterton Prima 60F Boiler banging!

The boiler stat is at 0 and I turned on the power to the programmer and the pump started to run. No changes to the boilers wiring has been made at all. Any idea as to what can cause the pump to be on all the time? The bypass valve is fully open by the way. Cheers

    Potterton Prima 60F Boiler banging!

Pump connected to the boiler. Pump located upstairs with all the other bits including the junction box and programmer (which I've turned off to turn off the pump!)

    Potterton Prima 60F Boiler banging!

This is probably quite important: The boiler has been off for an hour yet I've just been upstairs and the pump is running and boiling hot! Both zone valves are closed!

    Potterton Prima 60F Boiler banging!

Cheers Tony, From your reply I guess you've ruled out a gas valve issue. The plumber who replaced my 2 x two zone valves did shut off some valves when draining the system, etc. Is there a chance they didn't turn on one of them enough? He made mention that the balancing valve from the hot...
