    Fit shower door or silicon first??

    I've built a shower cubicle ie: 3 tiled walls 1 door The shower door/frame has 2 separate metal post which screw to the wall and the door frame screws to that I dont think it matters?? but should i silicon the tiles to the shower tray then fit the frame or fit frame then silicon

    Whats the minimum thickness ply i could use to go over 18mm chipboard I've been reading it should be 15mm?? The problem is 15mm ply plus 10mm tile plus 10-20mm adhesive im going to need a threshold 35-45mm and carpet floor the other side

    no venting on soil pipe

    To test your idea You could drain the water from the Shower trap only so its acting like the vent .Then see if the other traps pull when you empty the sink,washing machine etc .If they dont then extend the pipe . I'm just a DIY'er so i dont know the rules and regs but i thought you could try...

    Fitting 6mm Hardiebacker board without adhesive ??

    Do you have to apply tile adhesive to floor before laying 6mm Hardie?? My floor is pretty solid and flat .The reason i want to avoid adhesive direct to the floor is when i say in 10 years want to replace the tiles i don't have to spend hours getting the adhesive off or replace the whole floor...

    I bought a pair of Comap chrome radiator valves a while back but have only just gone to fit them One has got a pink band round it the other hasnt .I'm not sure if the pink band one goes on the feed or return or what the pink band is for ?? thanks
