I've cut the worktop for my bathroom sink and need to seal the bare edges

My plan was PVA the edges then smear silicon on the edge then a bead of silicon on the top edge to seal the sink to the worktop

I also add foil tape as it is clear where it is placed and avoids damage becausee you 'missed a bit' with the pva, sealant, it makes a good physical barrier to moisture.

Personally, I'd avoid PVA, as any moisture will reactivate the PVA. Usual to use oil based varnish or similar to seal bare edges of cut outs. ;) ;)

I've always used Bostik waterproof wood glue (the blue bottle), 2 coats to make sure nothing has been missed.

Then silicone the sink / basin down, and then a bead around the edges.
