    LED mirror with demista

I am considering the Roper Rhodes Pulse (60 LEDS) or their Star (72 LEDs) . Will be over basin. Does it make a difference if the LEDs are at the top and bottom, or on the sides. don't know how to add link http://www.ukbathroomstore.co.uk/clarity-pulse-mirror-roper-rhodes-p-1326.html]...

    LED mirror with demista

Do the LED's give enough light to make it useful or are they only really there for optical effect. My main light is in the centre of L shaped bathroom 2m*(1.7m*2m) and mirror will be in alcove. Thanks

    Recess Shower

I'm going to install a recess shower door and tray, but need advise on the best way to build the stud walls. Tray has 3 tiling upstands. Should I plasterboard (12.5mm) to floor then line with plastic sheet, fit tray, then fix 9mm aquapanel down to tiling upstand and fill any gaps with...

    Non standard pipe

No, the bath filler is controlled by the shower dials.

    Non standard pipe

I have a Grohe combined bath filler and waste. The waste pipe is a ridge L shaped (32mm outside / 28mm inside), which I cannot fit as my bath has a metal frame which is in the way (just where the bend is). I was thinking of using a flex pipe but can find the correct size anywhere. I have...

    A gap...

I had the same issue. I added a row of 50mm mosaic tiles (had to cut make some from a large tile) about half way between the floor and ceiling. I think my bathroom looks better for doing this. Steve

I've changed my mind, but need advise

I finished tiling my bathroom (thanks for all the previous advise). I was going to use a bath panel but have decided against it, and will tile it instead. I cannot file flush with the bath, so will have to have a little ledge. I will build a frame and tile onto ply wood. The frame does not...

    NoMorePly

I had chipboard floor that could not easily be replaced and could not increase the floor hight. I used Ditra Matting, as recommended by local tile shop. Have only just tiled floor and i'm hoping I will not have any problems.

    Calling gcol

gcol, I have used Bal gunmetal grout on both floor and walls, and I have to agree with what you said in my other post, it does look superb. White would have been the wrong colour. How good a match is geocel manhattan grey silicone, as I can't really tell by looking at your photo. Would it...

    Emergency - help needed

Thanks for quick response. I have dug out the grout and re-applied with fresh peanut butter. I could not have faced re-doing it in 6 months time if it had cracked.

    Emergency - help needed

I'm grouting my floor with Bal Microcolour and have mixed as per instructions, 4 part powder + part water , weight. It very runny, is this correct? As I have already used it, will it cause an problems later on? Should I try to remove it and mix a thicker batch. I'm grouting walls...

Bathroom tiling almost complete but advise needed

On one wall I have 2" mosaic tiles, that are not glazed on the edges and would prefer not to use a plastic strip on the top as I can not find a colour that matches / looks right. Are there any other options? Tiles are 8mm thick. I was thinking about cutting the tiles at 45 mitres, as if...

Last few questions before I start tiling

Thanks gcol. Have only just read your response. Just finished applying tanking. It's very easy to do. I also called BAL earlier today for their advise. A1) Bal suggested that as my bath has not been fitted I should tank to just below bath rim and apply sealant to edge / rim of bath...
