I need to replace an existing cast iron soil pipe with a plastic one. The existing one is concreted into the ground. Can I cut the existing one at the bottom and attach the new plastic one via a collar, or will I have to break up the concrete and remove the whole lot? Thanks.

This has been an on-going issue for a few weeks now.

New hot water cylinder and new immersion fitted. After approx. 1/2 hour to hour of the immersion being on get noise (bubbling) from cylinder and the water is way too hot (enough to scold). Have turned down the stat on the immersion but water still too hot. Any ideas?

Jaffa72 Can yo buy nozzles separately? and if so from where?

Anyone got any good tips on how I can reuse sealant nozzles? I'm fed up starting a new tube and then when you go to use it again the nozzle is bunged up. I've tried putting screws etc in the end. Any good ideas? Cheers

If I installed a combi tank do i have to provide any sort of vent pipe back into the tank?
