    Electric feed to shed

I have demolished my old garden shed and replaced it with a new one. The old shed had an electric feed from the house. The cable is fed underground in a sleeve for protection and is plugged into one of the undercupboard wall sockets in the utility. The whole house is protected by rcb's...

    Kitchen Island Sink Waste

Hi. I am building a new kitchen extension which incorporates a central island with sink. I would like some advice on how to plumb the sink waste into the drains. The existing foul drain passes under the new extension directly below the island if that helps. I was considering a stub...

    Fitting Surrey Flange

Hi. After seeking advice on here I have opted for a surrey flange to connect the hot water feed to my new shower pump. The surrey flange comes with a male thread to screw into the top of the cylinder which looked on the web is typical. The problem is my tank appears to have a male thread...

    How to Commission Shower Pump

Not installed any vents as yet. High point in the system is the shower processor which I have located on the boarded out area next to the water tanks. Its not too late to fit vents if needed - where should they go and what type? Both feed pipes are 22mm if that makes a difference.

    How to Commission Shower Pump

Hmmm. Gate valves in now. The Aqualisa shower processor comes with 3 isolation valves - I guess they are only there for maintenance. If so I could start by opening all 3 of them which just leaves the pump valves.

I have fitted a Stuart Turner Monsson shower pump in the airing cupboard. This has 2 inlets/2 outlets each fitted with a gate valve next to the pump. The 2 feed pipes go up to loft to an Aqualisa digital shower processor. Again stop valves are fitted to the 2 inlets and the single outlet...

Cheers lads for the replies. Yes the switches on the first link are 1 amp and 2 amp so will knock the flurescent in the head and go for one of those slimline lights. A 1 amp will be fine for those lights? Do I put this in the live feed or neutral? Ha good point about the strength of...

    Dedicated Feed to Shower Pump

Thanks for replies, Yeah am running both hot and cold feeds to (non pumped) digital unit in 22mm and reducing to 15mm within 150mm of processor. Hot feed is via a surrey flange which seems the preferred option. Its just the cold feed - yes I am running the pipework in 22mm but was...

    Dedicated Feed to Shower Pump

I have fitted a 3 bar monsson shower pump which will feed an Aqualisa shower digital shower. I know the shower pump should have a dedicated cold feed from the storage tank in the loft and that this needs to be in 22mm pipe. My question is - Can I use a redundant 15mm outlet on the tank and...

Replacing a Prefab garage with a block one

Agree with comment above the base will more than likely be unacceptable. You may of course require Building Regulation approval if within 1m of boundary and combustible materials used for roof.
