Hi, The on/off tap on my shower valve has become very tight. You can hear and feel creaking when it is turned on and off. Is it possible to strip this type of valve and make any repairs? Cheers Suts

Cheers lads, ive fittted the new valve now and will keep a close eye on it. When i get a minute i might cut into the controller and try to determine if it was the wax escaping.

Great replies thanks. I thought the same about the wax and when i cleaned it up it definitely felt "waxy". It was definitely leaking so also suspected the spindle was goosed. A double whammy though?? Anyway new valve in the post. Thanks again

Hi I wonder if anyone could offer any thoughts on a little issue i have with my UFH blending valve? See the picture showing a large amount of "slime" like substance escaping from the valve! Realy aprreciate any thoughts on this messy issue.
