Hi, I had a seized pump which I have taken apart, cleaned up and managed to unseize it with WD40. My question is should I oil or grease any of it when I reassemble it.
Our house is built with very soft limestone, a kind of beige sandy colour though. The stones give of dust constantly, if you brush against them your clothes get dusty. A stone mason I know says to clean with dilute bleach then seal them.
Does anyone know if Mapei Kerafluid HPR is ok to use on a screed with underfloor heating? I have the chance of getting a load for cheap but can't find any info that says one way or another.
Its a anhydrite screed that will be primed beforehand.
Cost is an issue unfortunately.
I've used paslodes before and they're very nice but I'm also thinking the air nailer might be of use in the workshop.
Does anyone know these rockworth things?
Any thoughts on what to get?
Second hand paslode, at least £200?,
Axminster pneumatic, £130ish,
Ebay "rockworth" pneumatic, £65.
Ebay SIP pneumatic, £80ish.
For a bit of roofing, stud work and such.
I've got a good compressor so thats not an issue.
Would PVA work to prime an anhydrite screed before tiling on it or does it have to be a specialist ie expensive primer?
It will be in dry rooms so water messing with the PVA will not be an issue. The screed will be sanded etc by the installers.
Hi, I've got a shed with a beaten earth floor about 4metres by 4 metres. I want to use it as a workshop so want a better floor put in. I know in an ideal world I'd put in 100mm of concrete but I'd have to mix it all by hand and am a bit old and tired. Any easier alternatives like a thinner slab...

The 82.914 one. You can't tell from the link what a strange shade of brown it actually is.
The timers will be fitted to the outputs from the thermal store not the wood burner. I'm planning to install it all myself.
So the rad circuit will be done the same as the rads in my house ie TRVs, bypass, timer. Except with a non return valve before the pump.
For the ufh circuit, I've...
Hi. I'm trying to plan out the heating for my next house. There will be a wood boiler heating a thermal store which will feed some underfloor heating and a couple of zones of radiators. My plan is that there will be a mixing valve getting water to the right temperature for the three circuits of...
I took the exchanger out again and cleaned it with some hydro. Loads of fizzing etc. Put it back in, wire the diverter back in correctly this time, run hot tap and the water gets hotter than its been for a while but then the flame goes out and it cools a bit again then fires up and gets nice and...
I fixed it, it was a wiring problem. I dismantled stuff to try and clean out the heat exchanger but it didn't work when it was all back together.
Cleaning the heat exchanger didn't make any difference to the dhw running cool though.
A clima+ formel 23V if that means anything to anyone.
