    Upvc Window not load bearing?

Hello, Further to an earlier post regarding a crack where Lintel above Bay Window is, given the info I have received on this site and from other posts I have read, I am now leaning towards the Upvc Bay window not being strong enough to bear the large Lintel. Whats the best course to remedy this...

    Movement caused Crack?

The Front Window is a square Bay so yes does have a large lintel and this crack is on one side (not the wall side). It seems to be of concrete rather than wood. There is no sign of any green residue. Just not sure if the obvious damp issue has come about from the crack in the wall running along...

    Movement caused Crack?

Hi, From the pics you will see a crack which appears to have travelled at ceiling height? which someone today has told me is a sign of movement. The property is a very old Bungalow. Small Loft Hatch

Hello, I have bought a property which has a very small Lofthatch 14 x 14 inches situated in the lounge . I believe it was made this small because of the joist which is running along side of it on one side and no room on the other side as it it too close to the roof. To get access I am thinking...

    Damp?

Thanks for your reply. Just moved in and stripped walls, found this. Yes its an old property but does not smell of damp. The guttering was renewed couple of months ago by previous owners, not sure if thats a clue.Unable to get into loft yet as it is only 14 inches square! Having that opened up...
