New concealed cistern - poor flush

Don't they usually have an adjuster inside to control how much water is released. Mine can be adjusted between 6 and 7.5 litres on full flush, or half of this on a partial flush. I think it's usually just an adjustable screw.

If you have ten minutes to spare, you can watch the installation video.

    Would this be notifiable?

It looks naff on the sketch but all the wiring is concealed as it's a concealed cistern behind a tiled wall.

    Would this be notifiable?

See original post. The socket is located in adjacent room. The entire house is fed by a new up to date consumer unit. All circuits are rcd protected. There is an option to wire the bidet back to the consumer unit, but then of course it would be a new circuit and thus notifiable.

    Would this be notifiable?

Just been in touch with local authority building control who have advised me that this work would not be notifiable. Just wondering though if it would be worth having a sparky test the installation, but apart from opening the plug and checking the connection, what exactly would he test? Would...

    Would this be notifiable?

So, if I understand that correctly, We can rule out 'b' Does 'a' apply? Is it any different to say wall mounting an electric heater and plugging into an existing socket? As it's more than .6m from the shower cubicle, does 'c(aa) mean it's not a special location?

I'm installing an electric bidet / toilet otherwise known as a washlet, washloo or Japanese toilet. It will be installed in a shower room outside of zone 2. The unit is supplied pre wired to a waterproof 3 pin plug. The socket side is then connected to a standard 3 pin mains plug. The Intention...

    Vitra vcare WC.

I sent a copy of the image to Vitra customer support and they confirmed that is a manufacturing defect.! All packaged up and awaiting a replacement now. Hopefully it will be a good one. There are signs that it has been previously fitted. I guess it leaked and the buyer returned it only to be...

    Vitra vcare WC.

Just purchased a Vitra Vcare Wall hung WC.The flush inlet pipe doesn't seem to be secure fit in that the rubber gasket is not fully gripped. Looking at the socket on the WC pan there seems to be a section cut away and I'm wondering if this is a manufacturing defect as I can't see any obvious...

    Isolation switch

A couple of years ago, I had a new consumer unit fitted. Prior to this there was an old style fuse box, but no separate isolation switch. I think the electrician pulled the main fuse whilst he carried out the work and replaced the seal afterwards. I'm planning to get an electrician in to...

    Heavy shower!

False alarm! I added an extra zero it weighs 44kg not 440kg.

    Heavy shower!

The tray has the option of (a) being placed directly on a flat surface or (b) being raised on legs. I had planned option (a), but there is very limited space under the floor and as luck would have it, wherever I place the waste outlet, it's always directly above a joist! so (b) seems a better...

    Heavy shower!

I'm currently renovating the bathroom and installing a new shower cubicle. It's a 1970's bungalow and the bathroom floorboards have been replaced at some time with chipboard flooring. The weight of the shower is 400kg (10mm glass) and the shower tray comes with five adjustable legs, so the load...

    12v in bathroom?

Just done a bit more research on this model, and the 12v is just to power the LED lights and radio. There is an option to use a battery pack for this, so no requirement for any electrical connections.

    12v in bathroom?

Im considering installing a shower cubicle, similar to this. https://www.insigniarange.co.uk/product.aspx?id=438 The installation instructions state that an qualified electrician must be used to connect the power supply and it must meet current regs. However the cubicle runs on 12v dc and is...

    Electric toilet / bidet seats

Can't see any recent posts on these, but these products seem to be widely available now, so time for some questions. No doubt the comedians will have a field day with this, but hopefully I might get some serious answers. For medical reasons, I'm considering having an electric toilet bidet...
