    ok last chance - i've bought the plasterboard!! I know to tape the new plasterboard, but do I still tape between the new plasterboard and the existing lath/plaster that there. The tape I have bought is like a mesh and is self adhesive, wont this cause a raised edge where the existing...

    I have cut it back to the studs, a lot more than I thought was loose. i'll proably get someone to skim it, dont mind putting up the plasterboard, but how is the tape applied (sorry if it sounds a stupid question)! Dean

    Have a 4x4 ft section of wall where the plaster is all but detached from the laths. Is the best way to replace this just cut thelaths,batten and replace with drywall? Any hints/gotchas? Dean

    Just moved into a new house recently a noticed the main distribution panel CB is 3 way. Im not too up on house electrics, but does that mean I have 3 phase input? Its a big hager distribution panel and the switch says 100amp 415v. Do I just then have to install a 3 phase CB on the output...

    Thanks for the advice. Removed the spur and connected the ring main to the new outlet. First time plastering too, what a messy job.

    Thanks, thats what I wanted to know. Should I remove the original spur as well, this will be a real bugger as its plastered halfway up the wall so would have to be chased out. Dean
