Husqvarna recommends not to use high octane petrol

Oh right I see, you're wrong so now you double down on the minutia of sentence construction. Where I'm from this is how people phrase such a statement - it's common to use "less than" rather than "fewer" also, so to coin another local phrase "bugger off".

Husqvarna recommends not to use high octane petrol

No it's not. Your original assertion was that only old vehicles without ECU require high octane fuel. Your statement about carrying a heavy person has no bearing on engine output either, yes it will affect fuel economy but a fat bloke doesn't cause engine knock. It's clear you don't understand...

Husqvarna recommends not to use high octane petrol

Run at a lower power output and be less economical as I stated originally (and crucially require the ECU to intervene more often to reduce knock, hence the lower power output, this in itself is bad for the engine and is warned about in the owners manual - eg don't cane it when using lower octane...

Husqvarna recommends not to use high octane petrol

That has nothing to do with your original argument and you know it. You're just trying to cover the fact you don't understand the topic.

Husqvarna recommends not to use high octane petrol

What a daft argument. Your thinking is decades behind. The manufacturers map the engine ECU to take advantage of the higher octane and the quoted horsepower is based on the use of this fuel. Engine power output is a function of fuel/air and timing or retardation - the accelerator merely controls...

Husqvarna recommends not to use high octane petrol

It's not just old cars. Many modern performance cars (VW Golf R, Audi "S" and "RS" models and plenty others) recommend 98+ Octane for full performance. Of course they can run on 95 but this will result in lower power output and lower MPG.

    A new snobbery?

I do hope that use is irony...otherwise you're helping to prove it's real and not snobbery.

    Vaccine Passport...

Given that the US has ably demonstrated that they've dispensed with science in favour of ridiculous tribal politics, I'm more of the opinion that we should ignore anything to do with virus/vaccine or erm anything emanating from that continent. The statements made by the CDC about transmission...

Stop and Search powers to be made permanent

I said credible source. Eg a Researcher/Academic, expert in their field, who understands the problem domain and has produced a peer reviewed paper on the subject as opposed to a journalist writing to get a frothy response from their gullible readers. Oh and shock horror Police force which uses...

Stop and Search powers to be made permanent

lmao it doesn't reduce crime at all. It's not pathetic or pointless to be concerned for your own privacy or wanting to go about your business without baseless interruption. It's pathetic to suggest that an innocent person should just accept we're all criminals until we prove we're not.

Stop and Search powers to be made permanent

Knowing that I'm not a criminal I'd rather quite like to go about my business without being stopped, let alone searched. A friend was stopped years ago in the early hours: Officer: Where are you going at this time? Him: Work Officer: Funny time to be going to work Him: You're at work aren't...

How long does it normally take to qualify as a project manager?

Yes! I can only speak for IT but all CVs go through a prefilter and if the required keywords are missing (or don't match those the recruiter is scanning for) you fail to get in the pot of candidates. It sucks but once you know you can structure your CV in line with this. Still makes them a bit...

How long does it normally take to qualify as a project manager?

Yes indeed, the bane of our lives eh? Makes a cv look like an ingredients list, I hate having to do it to mine, I hate receiving them

How long does it normally take to qualify as a project manager?

That's pretty much how it is in IT, it's a desired piece of paper to get you in the door, the rest you have to demonstrate. It's a bit of a farce to have to go and get PRINCE2 when no-one really cares.

How long does it normally take to qualify as a project manager?

I never commented on that being a good/bad idea...just the fact that is how long a training course to qualification can take. Of course experience and exposure takes time, as does knowing the process and being comfortable enough to apply the bits that work and the bits that don't based on the...
