Unfortunately (or fortunately!) the house is 3 storey which rules out the loft access route too.

    Outside Light/Power advice needed please

Hi, The sockets are not an issue as you say, it’s more the lights. I’d obviously prefer not to be chasing plaster or lifting the floor in what effectively would be 5 rooms around the house to get to where the various lights are positioned. This is why I’d thought about external cabling...

    Outside Light/Power advice needed please

Hi all, apologies for the lengthy post and if I come across as dim at any point, just struggling to get my head around something. At present I’ve no external power or lighting at my property (solid engineering brick construction built in 1905) aside to a couple of wall lights by our front...

    Nest installation query

That's actually not a bad shout Stem as it would be interesting to see the temp differential anyway. Thanks again. Much appreciated.

    Nest installation query

Many thanks stem. That's much appreciated. Not sure it's worth tracing back the wires. It's probably not the ideal place to have the thermostat anyway so may well relocate the nest to the living room and house on a stand. I'd be wanting to completely cover over the old thermostat. Can a slim...

I'm hoping to get some advice on the installation if possible as reading multiple threads has me confused....I'm guessing that not all the posts relate to the latest version. Flow rate issue with Combi Boiler

Guilty as charged! Only thing I would say is that it wasn't even working with the original monobloc tap which prior to the reroute were fine..... I may be able to test the flow rate though as i have a shut off valve on both hot and cold pipes under the sink.

Flow rate issue with Combi Boiler

Already checked the flexi connectors when I changed the taps and can't see both hot and cold being blocked.

Flow rate issue with Combi Boiler

Pressure seems down on the cold though too. I've even changed the taps to see if it made a difference. Any other thoughts at all.

Flow rate issue with Combi Boiler

Hi guys, I apologise if this question is daft and also if I get a little long winded. I think I know the answer to this question before I post it but wanted to ask anyway in case I am missing a trick. Basically we have removed a partition wall in our kitchen to extend the size and all the...

    Double Oven Wiring

Sorrry, thats my bad terminology. Its actually a 45A Double Pole Switch. But i see where you are coming from with that. Thanks. Is it still possible to do a junction box though to save cutting the back out of a kitchen unit or screwing and chiseling?

    Reclaimed Parquet Questions

Okay so 12mm needed - thanks for that. AFAIK the blocks are Oak, 10mm thick no T&G. They will need bitumen removing. I want a traditional herringbone pattern, no borders, then sanding and finishing in an appropriate stain to match up with our staircase (Dark stain) Thanks
