Saniflo - Water constantly trickling into the bowl

Hi there, can anyone give me any advice? We have a Saniflo system in our understairs loo. The saniflo itself is working fine, but there is a constant trickle of water going into the loo bowl, hence the saniflo comes on every ten mins or so to pump the extra water away. I have no knowledge...

Costs to put right dodgy removal of chimney breast! Help!

Best advice we were given (on here!) was to get the chimney swept BEFORE it's removed... you'll still have tonnes of brick dust & debris but at least you won't have the soot. Cost £30 to have it swept. We ended up taking the chimney stack off the roof as well - not always a popular choice but...

    Flexible Grout Cracking?

The tiles are 30cm x 30cm - I would say that there is about 1cm between each tile? It's a kitchen diner, floorboards then stepping down onto concrete - the tiler has plyboarded the boards and used different grout for the concrete & boards (tiny colour difference but hardly noticeable)..

    Flexible Grout Cracking?

Hi - we've had floor tiles laid over floorboards about a month ago - the tiler plyboarded the floor first, then used flexible grout, but it's cracking already. Anyone got any advice? Many thanks.

Dimmer switch for low voltage lights

hi - I think it's 400 watt, but I'm guessing. It's all a bit of a pigs ear really - we originally had mains downlights from B&Q installed, so I got a double dimmer that would work with that... the lights themselves were a bit ropey so the electrician suggested low voltage lights on individual...

Hi, wonder if anyone can help me. We've been left in the lurch a bit with some electrics and I need some advice. Basically, we've got a kitchen diner, and we've had 6 low voltage downlights fitted in the kitchen bit and 8 low voltage downlights fitted in the diner bit. They're on a double...

Solid wood worktops with a family? Opinions pls.

Hi guys, opinions gratefully received. We'd like to have solid 40mm beech block worktop with our new kitchen diner; we love the look, we're quite prepared to oil it every six months or so. Trouble is, we have received conflicting advice from friends and potential suppliers... some swear...
