Here are some pictures. I'm trying to get the push button aligned with that hole in the plastic cistern. It has just occured to me that perhaps I should be making another cut out/hole in the cistern and routing the blue plastic cable outside of the cistern and then into the back of the button...

Okay - latest problem. I've a new cistern that sits up against a floor standing housing containg the cistern. WC pan is central to the housing. New cistern is mounted internally centrally in the housingl ...resulting in the flush button, mounted on the front of the housing, interferring...

It's a pretty neat job I think and It'll be hidden behind a cover - it's just long term i'm concerned about. The pipe was definately lighter duty that grey 110mm ..but then again only a short 3^ piece.

Well I managed to get some time off work around lunch time and found a local engineering shop where a guy in his 50's did the work and charged me a fiver - very helpful they were too. back to getting it installed now - thanks for the help. Steve

thanks for the comments... I tried a rad tail - that did not help. A local engineering outfit would be ideal - except they are thin on the ground around here, tend to not be open when you want i.e. weekends or evenings ...and I have a day job! Steve
