    Have I made a mistake?

I have lined my bathroom floor with WBP ply and I'm at the stage where I need to install the shower tray and tile the floor and walls. Following the shower tray installation guide, it says to lay on it on a weak sand and cement mix but first to seal the area with a clear waterproofing agent...

Electric shower from the hot water tank?

Great replies guys, many thanks. I think I'm best off going with a direct replacement for the shower I had (pumped). Seems the safest bet. Ideally, i'd replace the boiller and put a combi in there but thats £££.

Electric shower from the hot water tank?

Thanks for the replies. How does an electric shower that takes a feed from the tank in the loft compare to one that is cold water mains fed? Is the performance the same or better than the mains-fed electric shower?

Electric shower from the hot water tank?

I meant easier because as a household we wouldn't be fighting over the same tank of hot water. From the sounds of it, that might be the lesser of the evils because a really weak shower is not great. Your advice is to go for the power shower vs electric shower?

Electric shower from the hot water tank?

Sorry, its been a few weeks but this got me thinking. Do I need an identical shower (just a pump) or can I buy an electric shower that is a pump and has an element? I might be asking garbage so please excuse me if this is not right. Essentially, it would make things easier to have a shower...

Tiling on the T&G chipboard flooring

Hello all I am renovating my ensuite. I've removed the existing floor tiles which were on laid on some kind of board that came up with the adhesive. Underneath that is the T&G chipboard flooring (24mm thick) which is green so I'm assuming that is moisture resistant. Are there any issues with...

Electric shower from the hot water tank?

Thanks. So I'm clear. The hot water feed is coming from the cyclinder and the cold feed is coming from the cold water storage tank (not the mains cold water)?

Electric shower from the hot water tank?

When we moved into our house there was an electric shower in the ensuite. We have a standard hot water system with a tank, not a combi and the main bathroom has a mixer shower working from the hot water tank. What we have noticed is when the there is no hot water in the tank the electric...

Thanks for your response. Does that mean I can use either side to balance?

    When balancing radiators which side?

Thanks but what if the caps are missing, which side? The Flow or the Return. I can figure out the flow and return with a temperature gun but without those plastic caps on I don’t know which side to balance.

    When balancing radiators which side?

I’ve read some online guidance on how to balance radiators but they all refer to the lock shield side. My radiators don’t have any trv’s and both sides look the same. Any advice you can offer me would be appreciated.
