    Change bulb in Lamona extractor

I’ve got other issues with mine now but the solution was to use a Stanley Knife. You can get enough leverage for it to lift the light out cover. Go for inner metal circle not the outer one to just remove the cover not the full fitting.

    Cooker Extractor Decorative Trim Removal

There is an issue with the lights on my Lamona Curved Glass Chimney Extractor and I had an engineer visit. He wasn’t able to remove the decorative chimney surround and suggested I need a joiner to remove the kitchen panels above, which I’m not keen on. The surround catches on the raised bit as...

Does your car have a dipstick?

No dipstick on my car, to be honest it's probaby better as the system makes sure you're checking it under the correct conditions e.g temperature not on a slope which can impact the reading. Also I assume it would alert when low, which a car with a dipstick doesn't until it's far too late.

I seem to remember a batch of the old style blue ones were stolen years ago and they changed to the new style then.

    Change bulb in Lamona extractor

I've got a Lamona Extractor Hood (LAM2502-1) and last night after I'd gone back to it both lights had gone out. As a first port of call I'd like to change the bulbs which are G4W halogen. The manual says "Unclip the lamps using a thin blunt blade taking care not to mark and replace with new...

    Fixing holes in MDF floor

Moved into a new build house over 10 years ago and the builders had used some sort of filler to fill a couple of holes in the bedroom floor. Since then the filler has come loose and I'm looking for a simple option to repair. The holes are about 3 cm in diameter. What would be the best filler...

    Boiler Constantly Firing Up

The house is a new build, so the unit is probably only a few months old and should be under warrenty. I'd just like to find out how it is meant to work before I go back to the builders and complain. Or if there is a user adjustment that I can do that would be great.
