    Bosch Dishwasher SGS45E62GB Leak

Hello. Exact same symptoms as previous post "SGS66EO2GB Water in base". The program stopped with 53mins to go with pump running continuously. The door could be opened and the pump would still run. Had both sides off and there is much dirty water in the base. The flood float seems to have cut...

Vaillant Eco Tec Pro HE - whistling noise from start up

Hello, We have a Vaillant boiler as above. It produces a very loud whistling noise from start-up for about 10mins and then runs normally. It has been inspected by a few engineers and this has been an ongoing problem for quite a while. :( :( .The last engineer can solve virtually anything, but...

    Reducing flow into cistern

I have a modern flushing cistern with the two buttons on top. The problem is that the flow is too great into the cistern and I have to turn the isolating valve to nearly shut in order to reduce the flow. This is what is causing is to be really noisy. Thanks again in advance. :?

    Reducing flow into cistern

I have a c/c cistern installed but it is very noisy when filling. This is caused because I have had to turn the ball valve to nearly closed to reduce the flow because if it was fully open, the flow would be too great and the cistern would fill too quickly. The overflow would not be able to cope...

Citroen Picasso 2001 2.0 HDI Fuel Filter

Yes, it was so much easier taking the housing off and doing it that way. Clamped on a bench with a big strap wrench and it was unscrewed with a bit of huffing and puffing.!! Only one problem, I have got the wrong size replacement!! Anyway, I have the measurements now so the next one will be...

Citroen Picasso 2001 2.0 HDI Fuel Filter

Ok. I'll have a look at taking it off. It just seems a bit OTT to have to take the whole housing off just to to change the filter. It may be easier though as space is a bit limited around the housing. Thanks.

Citroen Picasso 2001 2.0 HDI Fuel Filter

I am trying to change the fuel filter on my Picasso Diesel but cannot remove the top of the fuel filter housing. It is the later type with an electrical connection for the heater. I believe that the top just unscrews but it will not budge. I have tried a strap wrench and oil filter wrench. Does...

Yes. It was the venting on the tank. When I removed and then replaced the filler cap, the engine ran OK and then started to die after about a minute. I have cleaned the vent tube and all is OK. Thanks igotalake, your post reminded me to get it fixed. Thanks also to all other suggestions, in...

    Micropoint Gas Hose

We are swapping our old cooker for a much larger range type. We currently have a micropoint hose and wall fitting. Will this be OK with a larger cooker with more burners and double oven? I know that the micropoint hose is smaller than the larger bayonet type and wondered if it is of a sufficient...

Stihl 021 chainsaw dies at high revs

My usually trusty Stihl chainsaw has now started to die when run at high revs. It starts and idles OK but revs just die off when cutting. Air filter is clean and plug is OK. Looks like I may be getting some exercise with the bowsaw!!! Any suggestions gratefully received.

Thanks for all your help. It seems I should be OK but am a little confused about the conflict of advice in the last two posts. Anyone else like to offer anything? Thanks again. :?

    Transporting fridge/freezer.

I have to transport a fridge/freezer ( Bosch, about 5 years old ). It is too tall for my enclosed van. Is it OK to transport it on it's side or back ( all the pipes and fins on the back are protected) ? I'm not too sure so any advice would be welcome. Thanks in advance. :)

Thanks for that Denso. That's good news. I won't have to buy any more spindles!!! :D :D

    Spindle spacing on landing.

Can anyone advise what the minimum spacing for spindles on a landing is? I know they say 100mm but this seems to refer to stair spindles? Is it the same for a horzontal handrail set up with no rake? Burbidge seem to advise 80mm but I think this may be for turned spindles where they are narrower...
