    Alarm panel

It might be worth linking all the zones, as you do each one should go out. If you power down then back up, does this do anything? Make sure you put the link back in the PA, or the keypad with stay locked out.

    Alarm panel

+PA and Set, power up, then remove, wait for each zone led to go out as each zone is opened/closed. But like breezer said, new panel best option, for about £35, you can leave the box on the wall, the new panel will fit in, opps thats cheating, hehe.

    Burglar alarm system

First thing I'd be looking at is the 17 year old sensors, these do break down in time, normally sooner than the panel. Scanny is great kit, although the cheaper panels like the 9651 is a bit buggy in the software, but this wouldnt cause false alarms. Plus 2 false alarms in 2 years is...

Accenta 6 Alarm - Loss of power and Flashing PIRs

Some PIR's do flash on and off for a very short while on power up, depends on the make/model.

    House has alarm....can I use it ?

No Wireless chat here, lol. One of our customers had a customer that didnt like the scanny rkp's, nor the new ones, and ended up liking the texecom rkp, and just to top things off, they didnt like any of the PIR's because they were all too big! I think they ended up using Visonic Next PIR's...

    House has alarm....can I use it ?

Scantronics new EN rkp is well sexy....... Just a bit on the pricey side. We always use Menvier/Scantronic panels for commercial property's, suppose it just comes down to pursonal preferences. We do sell a lot of Texecom panels though, but never used one.

    Galaxy Panel

I like that, hehe, I'll remember that one for a friday afternoon when I wanna get home early, pmsl. As for upgrading a scantronic panel for a old ADT panel, good luck, just hope its not one I get called out to fix, lol, we normally rip ADT out, and stick up a nice reliable panel, most...

ADE Alarm panal adding 2 bellboxes

Why not just get yourself 2 identical bell boxes, that way it doesnt look like a bodge job, and it makes life a lot easier when wiring. As for the strobe, if you do run into problems when wiring too odd boxes together, just loop the strobe off the neg bell trigger in the box, at least it'll...

    Fitting Security Systems

I totally agree with this, we deal with one of the large supermarkets, so they are responcable for the Data Protection side of things, and when fitting coverts with no signs, well thats another story..... As for joe public, I've lost count of how many customers ask for cameras on their homes...

    alarm

Indeed, I tend to agree wireless alarms are a crock of toliet waste, go wired! There are some very extreme cases (early finish, only kidding) where a wireless alarm is used, we only use Scantronic, stay well away from the stuff you get in the local shed.

    Garage alarm help with wiring.

You've lost me at the bit about it being a new system then the bit about it being old with no instructions. If it doesnt have a strobe, and the siren isnt connected to a circuit board, does this mean its really old, like a horn siren in a big plastic box with vents in??

    C&K securitech alarm system

There should be a Unswitched FCU near the panel somewhere. Not sure where you can get hold of a manual, maybe try http://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/index.php someone maybe able to help you futher. Failing that it maybe time to buy yourself a new panel, if your confident...

    junction box's for low voltage

Yeh I used a couple of the white ones (too lazy to drive to my local trade counter), do the screws up a little too tight, and pop stright out of the thead!

    C&K securitech alarm system

Does the panel make and noise when you press the buttons? If NO then the panel has probably locked out, this happens when the battery is flat and theres a power cut. SOLUTION - Buy a new battery drop off all power, power up off new battery first, then apply mains. Or just remove battery...

Not that familier with these panels, but it sounds like you probably need a new battery too.

    Conservatory electrics

Who'd want a telephone in the bathroom, unless you often get your toe stuck in tap, and need assistance. Very rare to even consider sticking a PIR in a bathroom, although I have come accross a few.
