    Colron Woodstain goes Waterbased

As it says in the title. But....no indication on the tin design, in fact no change of design at all. So I pick up a colour I am getting low on for a bannister job. I have often used Colron stains & mixed them often to get the right shade. Not any more you don't...spirit base & water base...

    LS120 drive - the future?!

I stand by what I said. Posting a google link is a juvenile and unhelpful response. Me-thinks a sad little guy...inflated ego surpassed only by size of opinion.

    LS120 drive - the future?!

It's quite some time since I came on this forum and now I remember the reason why I got fed up of it. Its answers like this last one. Too many smart @rse replies that do nothing other massage the inflated ego of those posting such insults. I'm surprised that the mods still let this kind of...

    Not connecting to I/E

I had this problem a few weeks ago. Eventually found the solution simplicity itself. Switch off the netgear for at least one minute and when switched on again it should re-set itself to the correct configuration and hopefully allow you access to the internet again.

    EU and Slavery...

The whole question of the slave trade and apologies can not be seen in black & white terms....literally. Abhorrent though it was, and is, the blame can not be laid in the lap of the whites alone. There were many African black slaves traded from others in the African black community. Slavery...

    it's a long shot...

Like many fashions throughout time the Elizabethan collar or ruff had its origins in a display of wealth. So called Elizabethan (to state the bl44din obvious) because it was seen predominantly in the reign of Elizabeth 1 of England. As has been said previously you would need a lot of spondulics...

    dodgy memory

I had a problem with a memory upgrade recently, the new memory was not being recognised, not exactly the same as yours but solved it in the following way. On boot up go to BiOs, do not change anything, see if the new memory stick is listed and click on accept changes.....may work for you.

My mock Tudor house needs help please

Tudors used oak for their external wood, if treated properly will last for centuries. Probably not an option for you as the expense will be enormous. If you have access to a local sawmill you could purchase some unused oak or other hardwood railway sleepers and have them sawn to size. Loads...

Read the post eggplant...he aint mentioned anything about animation, he said 'film' he also said 'I have seen one done in flash and it looked very good' which is not to say 'I want to go the flash route'. Never seen animation done with a video camera....where have you been hiding all your life...

    flash

breezer...flash is not that easy or intuitive to use. In the long run I think a well edited video would be the easiest option. You can very easily freeze frame, add text, add voice over, music and make very effective transitions. All this can then be transfered to cd/dvd for either computer...

    Lost install disks

If they 'didn't know', and that is also what I understood from OP, then it either did or did not come with XP installation CD, hence my thoughts about contacting manufacturer.

    flash

Depending on how complex or simple your 'film' needs to be there are many programs out there to do the job. Give us some more info on what the 'film' entails and what way you wish to present the finished product.

    Lost install disks

The laptop may not have included an XP install disc, many new machines today do not always include the cd. It could have been that the drive was partitioned with enough info on the second partition to recover the op system, but then if the drive is wiped there seems little point in trying that...

    mass exodus !

I believe no bank has been taken to court with reference to overchargeing customers fees for overdrawing etc.. They have been served summonses but in every case they have backed down and reversed any charges to customers. They are frightend that if they lost a court case, then this would set a...
