Fuse allocation recommendations for CU in a bungalow

I only asked about freeze 'coz you always get a freeze sticker in the CU box ;) :D Like you say, other than a holiday, if an RCD tripped because a bulb blew (I know they shouldn't but sometimes they do) as you went to bed for eg, then 8 hours with the freezer door shut should be salvagable OK...

Fuse allocation recommendations for CU in a bungalow

Should have said - should any consideration be given to the electrical supply to the UFH I will be putting in :)

Fuse allocation recommendations for CU in a bungalow

I get on with UFH well and wouldn't now tile a floor without putting an element in and purely used for comfort and not to provide primary heating. the mats are pence on ebay and in the size of the bungalow will be no more than 2m2 per room Each to their own :)

Fuse allocation recommendations for CU in a bungalow

Should any consideration be given at this stage to electric under-tile heating in the kitchen and bathroom or just fused spare off the relevant ring main (hall in the bathroom case)

Fuse allocation recommendations for CU in a bungalow

I can see the argument both ways Ultimately I suspect the freeze will be on the dedicated kitchen ring and RCDed (It's not going to the biggest of fridge/freezers in a 2 bed anyway so not a lot lost in case of a trip for the sake of better protection) :)

Fuse allocation recommendations for CU in a bungalow

Thanks for the replies guys Just trying to maximise my knowledge before I speak to a spark so I'll have an idea if he BSing me or being fair and to get an idea of what's feasible and what should be avoided. Of coarse he knows better than me what's required as a minimum but if I don't ask for...

cooker hood connection F/S or plug?

Thanks guys My instinct was FCU but it just seams easier to fix the socket before the kitchen goes in and once every thing is installed just plug the hood into into a socket without reaching over and into the hood to hard wire :)

Minimum cupboard/room size for combi boiler?

Cheers Ian I am an eternal optimist and at £450 including the flue I'm prepared to take a punt   I had a Biasi installed in my mum-in-laws bungalow (3.5years and still going strong!) and as far as the clearances for that are concerned it needed 25 - 50mm to the sides and...

Minimum cupboard/room size for combi boiler?

:D thanks for the reply 'leccy is well clear on adjacent wall, I'm happy pipe work wont interfere as the kitchen is back to back with the boiler so cold water supply, condensate and DHW will disappear through the (stud) wall, only the CH will be routed up into the attic (bungalow) It...

It'll be a Ferroil DOMIcondens HE26C but the manual doesn't give any dims... 3.2 Place of installation The combustion circuit is sealed with respect to the place of installation, therefore the unit can be installed in any room. However, the place of installation must be sufficiently...

Minimum cupboard/room size for combi boiler?

I have a "room" off the hall that measures 520mm x 920mm (2400mm ceiling (outside wall). Apart from 50mm either side which I have, is there a minimum size of room to fit a condensing combi boiler? I was thinking 'cos its sealed to the room it wouldn't matter and wouldn't need vents in the...
