    Because there will be a gap right up the side where the 2 peices dont fit square and i cant just use a regular triangle because the fuse box wont fit. Unless im missing the point? If you can think of an easier way of doing it with neat joins then let me know.

    Well the ceiling in that building was lathe and plaster so one would guess it was lime morter. If you say it looks like it has already been re-pointed with cement morter, should I still use lime morter? Also, would I be able to do this now? or is it too cold? should I waite until spring?

    Yes they are. I have one RCD and 4 MCBs. One for lights one for sockets (I live in a flat) One for Cooker and one for shower. Im not sure what the current rating is for the MCBs what rating should the heater and lights run off, bearing in mind that 2kh for a heater appears to be the norm?
