Hi Legacy, theres a lot of its and buts here,the first, are you a roofer? what conditions is your flat roof in? are the boards gone underneath? You can use the best quality felt but if the application or applicator isnt right then its worthless. Perhaps you can give us a little more info...

If its just the breather felt thats in the gutter this really is a no no, the roofer should have used a product called 5 u with is a strip of felt you put along the fascia about 18" wide that acts as a drip in to the gutter, this felt does not rot and the breather felt goes over the top but not...

Personally i would use a 3/1 sand to cement mix, we always put in black dye(power or liqid) so it doesnt stand out so much, if you have the time take them off and do them all because it you just point up you will be back up there again next year. Cheers Dave

If you dont fancy the dry verge system, why not try a cloak verge system? they are not that much more expensive than dry verge and look a nice finish, i know you can get them in Marley Mendip tiles if you like the profile tile.[
