boiler warranty question with regards to servicing (Ferroli)

Actually they are completely differernt to cars - I've never heard of a car that turns on the service light at the service interval (12 months or XXXX miles) and the manufacturer says sorry you should have had it serviced before the light came on. Sorry but your warranty is invalid. I...

boiler warranty question with regards to servicing (Ferroli)

Thats pretty much what I thought - unfortunately I didn't put my foot down when the builder pushed for this make as that was what he was familiar with. He was about as good and reliable as the boiler has been so its no great surprise. If we weren't about to move I'd have it ripped out and...

Hi folks We've got a Ferroli boiler which has stopped working yet again. It was installed in Dec 2010 and although it was checked over by our installer in august prior to the PCB being replaced under warranty, its not been officially serviced seeing as its only technically due. We've...

Problem removing euro-cylinder lock retaining screw

Thanks for that suggestion too. I'm going to get a replacement and then maybe give the suggestions a shot. I'll probably try drilling first and then try breaking the lock as a final resort.

Problem removing euro-cylinder lock retaining screw

Thanks for that. I'm going to have to leave it until another day as I wanted to get the barrel out so I could make sure I get the right replacement length. I'll need to either wait until someone else is here or just buy one in advance and get one of each (its either 80 or 85mm)

Problem removing euro-cylinder lock retaining screw

Thanks for the reply. Is the screw normally just screwed (secured) into the lock itself? I can see that it doesn't come through the other side but I was worried about shearing off the screw and then being left with the remainder of the screw inside the door if it was threaded.

Problem removing euro-cylinder lock retaining screw

Hi folks I'm trying to replace the lock on our back door but have a problem with the retaining screw. It looks like someone has had a serious go at it in the past and I cant get it out. I've removed the handles to give it a little movement, tried wd40, giving it a tap with a hammer etc etc...

    foundation base

Hi folks Very quick question for you: can whole bricks be used as a base for the concrete foundations? I know you can use broken bricks/hardcore etc but our builder insists that whole bricks are fine and thats what he's going to use (left over from the garage thats been demolished)...

Help... Friend, Level Tiles... Am I being too Fussy!

to be honest if you want a professional finish you are probably best to use one. Getting friends to do things removes the option to complain to the same extent as you would otherwise.
