boiler warranty question with regards to servicing (Ferroli)

Just FYI the manual (or INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE as it states on the front)

says:

SERVICE INTERVAL RECORD
It is recommended that your heating system is serviced regularly
and that you complete the appropriate Service Interval Record Below

No mention of invalidating the warranty should it not be within 12 months. I'm sure it will be written somewhere of course just to be legal - possibly on the side of the carboard box it was supplied in? :p [/b]

Rumour has it ? that ferroli instructed all there service / warranty engineers when attending any in-warranty call outs to find any excuse in order to in-validate a warranty !! ( alledgedly ) ( ;) )

Any service enginneer questioning this policy ,or not playing ball was sacked ?? ( allgedely )

As a deposit would probably have had to be payed directly to ferroli by the customer ? prior to any call out , which would obviously ( ;) ) be refunded should it be a manu problem ??

Yep alot of these long warrantys offered by many manu's probably do not amount to a bag of beans , which incidentally in many cases u payed for in the boiler purchase price !

(I dunno about Biasi UK's policy ?? :) )

You jaded, cynical, mis-informed soul ;)

What company would be that underhand?

Allegedly :D

Boiler now fixed under the home emergency cover we have on our bank account. Took longer than expected but at least its now done. PCB was at fault as suspected.
