Hey everyone, I’m renting and share with two friends. Lately I’ve noticed our boiler being a bit weird. When I whack the heating on the ‘burner on’ light will come on and I can hear it but then it’ll go off after 20 seconds or so, it’ll then come back on again after a couple of minutes later...

This is a Vaillant ecoTEC plus 831. It completely shuts down (screens off etc) at instant of heat demand. Never ignites. After turning it back on, even if no heat demand is made it will still shut itself down in a minute or so. Also any time it shuts down you will not be able to turn it on again...
