06 Voltswagen passat 1.9 TDI or 2.0 TDI

Hi lads I'm looking a buying a 06 Volkswagen passat now, I'm looking at the 1.9 tdi and a 2.0 tdi for similar money but someone was saying to me I would be better off going for the 1.9 tdi as the 2.0 tdi engine tends to give trouble. Is this true?? Any advice to which is the better buy?

The pd engine is generally more reliable and can go on forever if looked after, its the one i would go for personally.
We have 2 in the family with over 150k that have given little problems, the brother in laws 2.0tdi has been in for the dreaded injector problems at less than 60k.
