1 way and 2 way switches top and bottom of stairs

Hi all,

Current setup is 2 gang 2 way switch at bottom of stairs, one switch operates hallway lighting and other switch (2 way) operates upstairs landing lighting.

At top of stairs is a 1 gang 2 way switch which also operates the upstairs landing lighting.

My question is, can I change the upstairs switch for a 2 gang 2 way switch and wire it (without having to run new wires) so I can operate both lighting circuits from both upstairs and downstairs? I don’t think I can?

Sorry if it’s obvious I just keep confusing myself over it!

Not afaik - you would require another set of cables running downstairs.

No you can't.

But there may be a possibility you can link both lights together and do away with the 1W switch
