What's this then, what's it used for, and what's it worth?! Scrap value?
...or worth ebaying?

Was given to me by client who had them in her garage and wanted shot of. (Hubby used to be a spark)

They were used in industrial machines where the supply had no neutral.

Very heavy, about 12kg, would that be copper? lead? or just heavy steel plates?
Do they have useful applications these days, any value or shall I chuck 'em?

Mostly laminated iron with copper windings.

Ebay is dead this year It`s old hi- fi you want to look out for in peoples homes - they quite often will part with it because vinyl is dead- to them . Just look for a Tannoy speaker lurking in a corner - 1950`s Mono . you won`t find a pair £ 1600 on eBay last year Also Garrard 301 and 401 decks . You can buy me a cyber drink if you get lucky
