Sure, it just displayed the big red box, but did not do anything to stop you posting a reply - so, if you somehow managed not to see the box (goodness knows how!), you would have been able to 'do it'!

This explains why so many old posts have been raked up, I also remember seeing the red warning box, I looked at the heading and saw I had answered this post, and could not remember doing so, I would have realised old as @ban-all-sheds had answered, but that does not held new comers.
