Any comments or views on domestic installer scheme through the N.I.C, Does it go into in depth calculations or is it just to make sure we are all working within bs7671 ? How hard can it be ? :?: Thanks.

Re the above post, I do not mean to imply that I think the course will be easy. I am an 'old' sparky re-taking exams to get my Part P, I dont think that my experience will be enough to pass it, and just wondered if anybody has taken this course. Cheers.

Haven't done the course with the niceic, but it will just be a basic overview of what you are likely to come across in domestic installations.

Shouldn't worry about in depth calculations. Most domestic work is down to standard circuits. If you already have experience then it will probably just be brushing up on a lot of what you know already .

It will cover current wiring regulations so if you haven't upgraded your training for a while then it's a way to do it in one fast hit.

Also will obviously cover relevant building regulations and the law as it applies to you, so not much time for maths!
