19/12.

I was wondering when his anniversary was coming up. Is it the third year?

I didn't know notb665 but my condolences to his family.

I had just started getting to know WDIK on a one-to-one basis, (PM's), when we lost him. So sad.

There have been others on this site and another site I sometimes visit who have touched our lives in one way or another before sadly leaving that I think its important to remember them, not just at this time of year or the anniversary of their passing, but during the rest of the year.

If someone posts a topic and it reminds another poster of some body doing/saying a similar thing then honour them by mentioning it. We never knowhow long we have on this earth so we should make the most of it and remember those whose time was short.

RIP departed friends and may your loved ones and families feel hapiness in their hearts that you were a part of their lives.

It's sad but it's life :( We take for granted of our awaking each day, so treasure each day and make everyday day count in our life. If you have nothing good to say then don't say anything at all and life's too short to worry

Simon (WDIK) and NOTB were nice guys and good contributers to this site. Seems strange and unfair that are no longer with us :(

Hope their families get to hear of this thread as they will be happy that they have been remembered.

I lived in Market Harborough about a year after this happened and this story was told in the local stores when getting fencing materials for my house.
I never realized to this day it was a true story.

Glad someone thought of this man, and I hope his wife and children can see this to know he is still fondly thought of.

Echoing Joe...

If nothing else, it made me think a bit more about power tool safety...

If enough others have done the same too, then I reckon it's a worthwhile legacy!

Jeez... what a shocker.... poor bloke.

What must his family be going through each Christmas. !

if we all take an extra look within ourselves over tool safety then his demise will not be in vain.

thinking of his family at this time.
