Can anyone tell me how to test what the fault is with my air con ?.When i switch it on the engine revs are effected but i have lost that icy blast.

Would be worth a look to make sure the compressor is working when you've switched it on. They can be re-gassed, prices will vary slightly place to place. As a bench mark, I'd say expect to pay somewhere around 60-90 quid. As i say, depending on where you go.
